Founded by Hussain Sajwani, DAMAC Properties is an Emirati property development company, based in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates. It is part of DAMAC Group that has been shaping the Middle East’s luxury real estate market since 1982, delivering iconic residential, commercial and leisure properties across the region and beyond.

DAMAC adds vibrancy to the cities in which its projects are located, with a huge and diverse portfolio that includes skyscrapers, communities and branded residences. To date DAMAC has delivered c. 47,000 quality homes, with c. 33,000 more under way.

PROJECTS

DAMAC developed a master-planned residential golf community around Dubai’s Trump International Golf Club, which opened in February 2017. The DAMAC-Trump partnership began in 2013, and the community, initially called The Akoya, was later renamed DAMAC Hills. The golf course, designed by Gil Hanse, was formally opened in February 2017, with Trump’s sons as guests of honor.

A second project, Akoya Oxygen, includes a Trump International Golf Course designed by Tiger Woods. Launched in 2014 and larger than DAMAC Hills, Akoya Oxygen is part of Dubai’s Dubailand. Spending on the project reached $1.5 billion by 2018, with AED 1.8 billion in contracts awarded in the first half of 2017.

Damac also owns Safa One and Safa Two, overlooking Dubai Canal and notable landmarks like Burj Al Arab and the Palm.

DAMAC Heights, a luxury 88-floor residential tower in Dubai Marina, opened in 2018. DAMAC Towers by Paramount, a four-tower development with 2000 units, was built in collaboration with Paramount Hotel & Resorts.

In London, DAMAC signed a £200 million contract with Lendlease in 2016 to build a 50-floor tower, AYKON London One (now DAMAC Tower Nine Elms London), designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox with interiors by Versace Home.

In 2019, DAMAC completed the Ghalia project, a 727-apartment, Sharia-compliant development in Dubai’s Jumeirah Village Circle.
